ABOUT

I am first-year Master's student in biomedical engineering at Boston University. Since I was little, I have known that my passion lies in improving patient care and patient outcomes, and when I was fourteen, I was lucky enough to have someone suggest to me that my love of biology and engineering could be combined to serve that cause.

During my time as an undergraduate, I collaborated as a researcher in the Synthetic Biology and Biomimetics Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh, led and supported various projects as a co-op in R&D Procurement with Johnson & Johnson, and contributed to a project team responsible for designing and delivering physical education tools to help children with disabilities participate in classes. Through these experiences, I learned a great deal about the career paths available for bioengineers and the things that I am passionate about while contributing to clinical trial contracting processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and research methods that have enhanced my project planning and project management skills.

My experiences both inside and outside the classroom have solidified that I like to work with my hands, that I am attentive to detail, and that I enjoy providing creative input on designs and solutions. Now, as I begin my graduate career, I believe that my focus on medical product engineering will channel my interests, skills, and passions into the betterment of patient treatments through the design of innovative solutions in healthcare.
